2021 Lindemans Limestone Ridge Shiraz Cabernet

Each component was berry sorted and fermented in open fermenters. The Shiraz was on skins for 10 days for maximum extraction of flavour and balanced tannins. The Cabernet was pressed while still sweet to undergo barrel fermentation in a mixture of new and used French barriques and both wines were matured in barrel for 16 months before a selection of the best barrels to make the blend. 100% Limestone Ridge Vineyard. This wine has a deep red colour with a vibrant purple hue, juicy blackberry and raspberry fruit aromas are supported by sweet oak aromas and savoury barrel ferment characters. The palate is elegant yet rich with fine grained structural tannins providing line and length. A wonderful expression of Limestone Ridge Vineyard Shiraz Cabernet from an exceptional vintage, sure to be one of the classics.
