2021 Lindemans Pyrus Cabernet Merlot Malbec

The Pyrus Cabernet blend continues to impress with intensity, generosity and complexity. 
Each of the components were fermented separately in 10t open fermenters and remained on skins for at least 10 days before pressing and filling to French oak for maturation. Before final blending each barrel was assessed and only the best barrels were selected for the Pyrus blend. This wine has a deep red colour with a purple hue, lifted cassis, plum, tobacco, lavender and violet aromas. The palate has fine grained structural tannins perfectly matched with fleshy mouth filling cassis, plum and tobacco flavours that flow over the palate for a long lingering finish. I'm extremely happy with this blend and I'm certain it has a great future ahead of it. A wine that will reward careful cellaring for many years to come.
