2023 Notes Touriga Tinta Cão
A modern blend of traditional Portuguese varieties grown in the maritime climate of McLaren Vale, South Australia. This medium to full bodied wine combines Touriga Nacional (74%) with ample mid palate richness, and Tinto Cao (26%) showcasing brambly textures, and lingering crunchy acidity. A great combo that has great complexity and to be enjoyed com amigos.
Nose - Bright red and blue fruit compote; think blood plums and dark cherries with lifted aromas of dried fruits.
Palate - Stewed plums, baked blueberries, with a savoury mid palate leads to a plush, fruit-forward finish. Great balance with dark fruit with layers of complexity. Enjoy!
Serve with roast pork, char grilled vegetables, quandong chutney and/or hard cheeses and cured meats.
