2024 St Huberts Rose
Rosé is an incredibly versatile and food friendly wine – a great accompaniment to light or medium dishes. Whether as an aperitif, a picnic or to wean a friend into red wine! St Huberts rosé is made from Yarra Valley Pinot Noir. The grapes are macerated on skins for some colour pick-up prior to pressing. The juice is fermented and matured in older French oak. Aiming for the dry and savoury style, you just need a warm afternoon.
Matured for eight months in 3 and 4 year-old French oak (~90% puncheons).
Nose: Fruit notes of wild strawberries, watermelon, and blood orange combine with savoury oak and nougat scents.
Palate: Light and subtly textured. Muddled strawberry fruit notes, and a characteristic Pinot Noir fleshy mid palate. Faint tannins and crisp acidity tighten up the finish.
